# My Calendar Isn’t Showing Appointments From My Assistant

Try these tips to make sure your assistant can work its scheduling magic.

Your assistant just told you they’d book an appointment for you, but now it doesn’t appear to be showing up on your calendar. There could be a few different reasons why this is happening - here are the most common ones:

### Your assistant doesn’t have access

Connecting your calendar to HouseWhisper is critically important because it ensures your assistant can see what appointments you’ve got coming up soon and make changes on your behalf. This connection usually happens during the setup process, but if a step was missed, all you have to do is ask your assistant to send the link to connect with your calendar again.

### Your calendar isn’t syncing to the device or app you’re using

Whether you’re using Google Calendar or Outlook, you’ll want to double check that any events created on a different device or service are actually syncing to your phone.

You may need to add, remove then add, or re-enter the password for your calendar account.

### Something else

Honestly, there are a surprisingly large number of reasons your specific calendar setup may not be syncing. If you’re feeling stuck, don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team so we can investigate and help you get things working smoothly. To do so, text your assistant and ask to contact HouseWhisper support or email us at <support@housewhisper.ai>.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://tips.housewhisper.ai/troubleshooting/my-calendar-isnt-showing-appointments-from-my-assistant.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
